Our Vision
Highwood Copse Primary School will provide the best academic, creative, spiritual, moral and emotional education possible, striving for excellence in all that we do.
Our school is a place where the children are central to every decision we make. We will ensure our children are safe and successful; they will grow during their time with us to be ambitious and resilient. We are proud that our children are learning to be courageously outspoken, but behave with integrity. The staff and school will be highly effective, well-organised, efficient, and well-resourced. We will provide an exciting and stimulating learning environment and our talented, well-informed teachers will inspire and motivate children, encouraging scholarship, intellectual curiosity, independent thought and effective learning habits. Children will be encouraged to celebrate Britain as a diverse society, have an understanding of social justice, fight against discrimination, provide service for others, and show respectful and well-informed views about their own community and the wider world.

“I just wanted to say thank you so much for giving us the opportunity to come and spend time with our children in class. It was a great experience and lovely to see the class enjoying their maths lesson so much (and listening so beautifully to Miss Newman’s instructions)!”
Parent of Year 1 pupil - “I've been meaning to write to say a big thank you to you and the other teachers. Zoe is loving school. Zoe also told me that you did an assembly on Rosa Parks last week. This is brilliant, I am really happy you are teaching a diverse history, it obviously left an impression on Zoe, she was talking about that period quite passionately."

'We do want to say how amazed we are with the school! Ivy-Rose adores school and I never thought this would be the case!
How much she learns and takes in the information and comes home and shares everything with us all is amazing. The education that she’s receiving is the best and has wowed us as parents. My 5 year old is enjoying learning! Something you never think you’d say till later down her school education. The smiles that each staff member has at all times welcoming the children and saying goodbye at the end of the day is not known in many schools and is very much appreciated. The fact all the staff we’ve met has known her name is incredible too. I’ve worked in childcare for 16 years in many schools and we couldn’t have picked a better one to send our baby too! I’d like to commend Mrs Robinson on the school she has created and the warm loving staff members she has. The relationship you clearly have with your staff is second to none because everyone’s on it and the fact I don’t know another school with a head teacher that is so highly involved with their children and parents is a credit to you too. So thank you.'
